My sister-in-law, Helen, is pregnant! I'm going to be an Aunt! I'm very, very, very excited! They got the official news yesterday afternoon and seem to be just as ecstatic as everyone else. Mum's going crazy with the baby tips and planning already. Dad's excited about toys. Nathaniel and Helen ...I think are secretly terrified - but they've been planning it for a year now. They're ready for it, I think.
I for one can't wait to have a baby in the house. To cuddle, coo, and spoil rotten. I do love children. If I could I'd get one of my own. But, that's not in the cards right now.... at least not until the final point tallies are posted Friday.
I'm convinced United has the points for the Final. Alas!

Today I moved to a hotel and I'll be here for the rest of the week. It was suggested my illness last week...that inconveninetly cost me my absence in two of the most important games in the season.... may be from a cursed item somewhere in my house. As it stands I'm willing to believe anything so putting the enitre house under quarrantine made sense in my brain. Surprisingly I am feeling much better since I checked in. I'm sending my manager to buy a weeks worth of clothes and other such necessities. Can't risk anything you know...
As it stands I'm hoping I'll be able to play in this Fridays match against the Arrows. It's the Falcons last game of the season and we're still in the running to make it to the finals with the Prides if we rack up enough points this next game. We can do it....we have to. Hopefully the Magpies will continue to fail without Zacharias so we don't have to worry about their match against the Harpies on Saturday. No offense to anyone on the team - but it's honest wishing.
Anyway, I'm going to eat something. I didn't realize how hungry I was until I got here.

I think I've caught whatever it is that's been going around. Felt terrible all week. Obviously not playing in this weekends double game. I'll be listening though - don't fuck it up

One down four more to go. If we manage to pull a mirical out of our arses the Falcons might very well make it to the final. We're definitely playing hard enough for it, I think. Magpies gave it a good run this last weekend - got some scrapes to prove it.
Injuries are fairing well of course. The fingers aren't as stiff as they were after the replacement charm. The massive scrapes all up my left side are almost gone thanks to this killer home potion our team healer has. No blood or extra flesh hanging from the wounds. Just a bit raw...kind of looks/feels like rug burn now. haha Can't really complain considering I fell a good five feet from the ground going near 96kph just a few days ago. I love magic.
In other news, I've convinced Zacharias to help me research property in another country. Merlin knows he needs something to pass the time We need a decent vacation home....we've earned it. Any suggestions on where to start looking first?

The Harpies are a pain in my ass. I think you should work your magic and have them eliminated from the league.

So, I've decided I'm not getting another dog. This last business trip made me realize that I really don't have the time to properly bring in another member into the pack right now. Granted if one were to randomly appear in my yard one day.... haha -kidding. Don't get any funny ideas.
On a more serious note - Who's ready for the Falcons vs. United match in two weeks? You best buy tickets if you haven't. It's going to be a crucially fantastic game. I can smell it already.

P.S. It's a good week!

Good luck to all those playing in the charity event Friday. It's a great cause and I wish I could be there to cheer you lot on! May the best team win, aye?
Also, the many photos of pups fans sent me were fantastic! Thank you for all of your interest in helping me find a new canine friend. I think I've made my final decision and will be in contact with the appropriate owners shortly. All those who are still trying to find homes for their pets please consider the Animals for Wizards Foundation. They're a really great program that provides care for animals while finding them happy homes.

Alright, I've got a confession. I'm thinking of getting another mutt. At the moment I've got Duke & Darwin. ( photo's charmed for optional viewing ) They're a happy pairing, but I was considering getting them a third playmate. Maybe someone that can keep up with Darwin. He's an energetic little bugger and well, Duke likes to take things slow. I'd hoped that Win would calm down after a year - but there's no sign of it. Plus, three's always a good number for pets, I think. I thought about getting a cat - maybe a sphinx like the one I had in school...but, well I don't think that'd go over so well with two large dogs.
Anyway, the point of this was to get some feedback on recommendations on where to look for a new addition. I'm a fan of rescuing dogs so they don't need to be new puppies. I got Duke when he was about two years old. He was advertised in The Argus in Brighton...the family was moving overseas and couldn't afford to ship him. Then I added Darwin in when he was about 8 months...a friend of mine was getting rid of him because he ate up furniture. So, I'll consider any and all candidates. Send them my way!
Also, completely off subject. But if you haven't had the opportunity of test flying the new SunShooter2500. You should, get on that right now. It's a bloody killer broom! Accelerations beautiful, the style is gorgeous, and the movement response is almost orgasmic. I kid you not. I'm on the list for two when they release them in June. I think they're showing them at that charity event that's coming up - so be sure to check those out if you're going.
